GENERAL QUESTIONS

WHEN DO YOU OPEN? / WHAT ARE YOUR BOX OFFICE HOURS?​

We usually open an hour before our shows start. Check our schedule for specific times.
Most of our shows end by Midnight midweek and before 1am on Weekends.
You can purchase advance tickets online via our online box office or at the door any night we have a show and open. Cash only for door sales.


​HOW ABOUT PARKING?

Free parking is available in front of the Ivy and around our neighborhood after 6pm M-F;
Free parking on Saturday and Sunday. 


​PATRON LOST AND FOUND?

You can come check if your lost item is here anytime we are open. We don’t answer the phone and might not get back to all emails but you are welcome to stop in. We keep lost items for 2 weeks and then donate to Goodwill. Email us at info@ivyroom.com for lost items.


WHAT ABOUT MY CREDIT CARD?​

You can pick up your card anytime we are open for shows. Please bring your Photo ID so we know its you…


BAND LOST AND FOUND?

We have a separate area for band lost and found. We will not be able to keep your gear after 2 weeks. Please come by and see if it’s here right away. No, we cannot stash your gear for your next show that you might have in 3 months. Email info@ivyroom.com for lost items.


DO YOU SERVE FOOD? 

We have some bar snacks for sale, however you can bring your own food if you’d like. We suggest not bringing food into sold out shows since we clear the tables. 


ARE YOU ADA COMPLIANT?

Yes, our entrance, bathroom plus music and bar area are ADA compliant. Please call or email in advance if you would like us to save you a seat or area to see a show. (510) 526-5888​ | info@ivyroom.com


ARE YOU AN ALL AGES VENUE?

Ivy Room is a 21+ venue. Valid Government Issued Photo ID is required to enter.


CAN I SMOKE?

Ivy Room is close to the bay and sea creatures don’t want to eat your butts. Please use our big, yellow and hard to miss receptacle. It lives 30 ft to the right of our entrance. Please respect our neighbors and do not smoke in front of open businesses, especially the restaurant next door.​


AND BRING MY DOG?

We are dog friendly for friendly dogs! But please do not bring them to packed shows. ​


DO YOU HAVE SEATING?

Ivy Room is a standing room club for shows with very limited first come first serve seating. We have a few booths and bar stools around the club. If we advertise a show as a partial seated show then we will have a few rows of seating for you to grab if you come early enough to get one. If you need special seating we can provide one for you. We will have a few special seating options available for each show. Email us in advance if you need special accommodations.


DO YOU TAKE CREDIT CARDS?

We take credit cards for bar, snack and merch purchases. We do not take credit cards for show ticket purchases. If you’d like to purchase a ticket with a credit card you can buy tickets for all our shows on our website. Please bring cash for tickets purchased at the door the night of the show. 


DO YOU HAVE AN ATM?

Yes, our ATM is located to the left of the front door and right across from the bar. 


HOW DO I AVOID ONLINE TICKET FEES?

You can purchase FEE FREE tickets at the bar at Doors same day. You can also now purchase advance tickets, cash only, at the door for future shows.


IS THE SHOW TONIGHT REALLY SOLD OUT?

We might be able to release more tickets before the headliner goes on but we’ll have to see if there are any no shows with our pre-purchased ticket list before we can release. WHEN DO THE BANDS GO ON?

We typically have bands start an hour after doors are listed. Show time listed on show listing is when the first band starts.


I'M NOT 21 YET, CAN I STILL COME?

Sorry, we're 21+ only, with no exceptions.


CAN I GET A REFUND FOR TICKETS? 

All sales are final and non-refundable except in the event of a show being cancelled. All questions and concerns for tickets purchased online can be emailed to info@ivyroom.com. If you would like to transfer tickets for any reason, please contact info@ivyroom.com. If you purchased tickets at the Ivy feel free to email us at info@ivyroom.com. We will gladly transfer tickets for most shows. If we have WILLIE NELSON or JAWBREAKER performing here we will have the show listed as non transferable so scalpers can’t buy up all the tickets. You will see that info listed when purchasing. 


IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

No, just wear shoes. because, eww gross.


CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS?

You can! No press pass needed. We reserve the right to use them as well.

BANDS

WANT TO PLAY IVY ROOM?

We want you to, but first make sure you've hit all our requirements. Here's what we look for...

  • A healthy draw. We look for artists who can regularly bring people to watch them perform in the 100-200 range. How were your last 5 shows? Don't forget to be honest. If you have a bill you want to pitch us that can bring out 100-200 collectively, that would count. 

  • Excellent social media activity. Are you always busy posting photos and talking up your shows? We don't think 'likes' mean a whole lot, but it's great to know you and your bandmates promote as much as we do. 

  • You sound good. We want to showcase the very best the Bay has to offer. Please make sure you have honed your craft before asking us to listen to your band. 

  • You are excited to play our room. Ivy Room is a must play in the East Bay and working a ton on banding together and supporting the local music community. We like working with folks who feel the same way.

  • You are down to preserve your draw. Meaning, you don't have shows booked in the East Bay or San Francisco 2 weeks before or after any requested date at Ivy Room.
